BLIND STOKER CYCLE FOR SIGHT

The Blind Stokers is another wonderful community group we support every year under our Vision interest area. They provide visually impaired people with a cycling experience via tandem bicycles. The front person is a sighted "Captain" and the back person is the stoker/engine. They operate year-round, but we support them in March when they kick off the Cycling for Sight, training period with a shopping spree for necessary bike clothing/helmets for the stokers and then again in the summer when they make the 3-day fundraising ride.

HOLIDAY GIFTS FOR FAMILIES

When Covid hit, we began participating in a program to provide holiday gifts to underserved local families who could not otherwise afford them. Though the Covid situation has improved, many families are still facing financial hardship due to higher prices on gas, food, etc. This year we are sponsoring ten families to shop for, wrap and deliver gifts to every family member.
